MY STORY.

December 2016, marked the year I moved from Canada to Sweden to start a new life with my Swedish partner. Shortly after my arrival, I began working for Scandinavia's highly renowned, White Arkitekter. Founded in Gothenburg during the 1950s, White is a strong leader in its field, with several offices throughout Sweden, Norway, Denmark and England. During my time there, I honed my architecture craft while learning to navigate through an architectural industry which differed greatly from that of North America.

While residing in Calgary, AB Canada between 2013 and 2016, I was uniquely connected to the interior design community through several avenues.  In addition to my independent consulting practice, I worked as a senior account executive and lighting specialist for Lightform Canada. Doing so allowed me to express my unique design style in several local projects by working closely alongside Calgary's most influential architect and interior design firms.

Before returning to Alberta (my home province), in 2013, I spent five years in Toronto, working for one of Canada's most well-known interior design firms, Cecconi Simone. Collaborating with top-tier architects, I spearheaded several multi-residential condo projects locally and throughout the US.  Before my time in Toronto, I made Montreal my home. There, I worked for Lessard Design + Karl Fischer Architecture, completing numerous projects in NYC, Brooklyn, Toronto and Calgary.

obtained a Bachelor of Applied Interior Design from Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB directly after completing my studies at Alberta University of the Arts. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Painting; my studies also included printmaking, drawing and textiles. Today, I am a prolific printmaker and visual artist, commissioned regularly to create illustrations and portraits for one of Sweden's largest men's online retailers, Care of Carl.

Upon graduating from interior design school, I worked for world-renowned Kasian Architecture, Interior Design + Planning. With offices in major cities across Canada as well as Dubai and Shanghai, DI gained invaluable experience as a junior designer during her time with Kasian.

I am an active participant within the yoga community wherever I call home. My health and well-being are top priorities, and my vegan lifestyle is a testament to this. I am an avid runner, spending much of my spare time training for upcoming races and coaching for The Running Room where I help others achieve their own personal running goals.

My approach to art and design stems from a passion for minimalist living. With roots deeply grounded in yoga philosophy, I inject a sense of calm, balance, simplicity, and warmth into each space I create. Displaying a genuine love and respect for nature, I intentionally use natural materials that are non-toxic, sustainable, and gentler on the environment.
